Custom Animation Basics

To access Custom Animation, select from the Standard Toolbar Slideshow > Custom Animation. The Custom Animation task pane will appear on the right side of your screen.

To apply an effect (Entrance/Emphasis/Exit/Motion Path), click on the Add Effect button & select your effect. To explore further effects, select More Effects. Effects will appear in the Custom Animation task pane in the order that they were applied. You can reorder them by dragging them up or down on the list.

If you want the effect to appear letter-by-letter as opposed to word-by-word, which is the default setting, back click on the effect in the task pane and select Animation Effects > Animate Text >By Letter.
